(Battlestar Galactica 2004, Caprica and Blood & Chrome)
Zak Adama was the youngest son of William and Carolanne Adama, and brother of Leland Adama. He died two years before the Fall of the Twelve Colonies.
Biography[]
Like his older brother, Zak idolized his father, who was a Viper pilot and later line officer in the Colonial Fleet. Like his older brother he enlisted in the Colonial Fleet but did not qualify for its flight training program.[1] Due to his father's political connections, he was nonetheless inducted into the class.[1] During his training, he became romantically involved with one of his instructors, Lieutenant Kara Thrace, and the two became engaged.[2] Due to this relationship, although he should have failed his Basic Flight exam, she gave him a bare pass and he went on to become a Viper pilot.[2] Soon after, he died in a crash while on a routine mission, which was attributed to a "pilot error". This caused a two-year long feud between Leland and William, with Leland thinking he used his connections to pass him through the course, blaming him for Zak's death.[1]
