Wireless is a Colonial term describing communication systems connected without physical connection between stations. It encopases both short-range communication like ship-to-ship or planet-to-ship, and medium to long-range broadcast methods used by Colonial News/Entertaiment.[1]
Function[]
Wireless works by transmiting information wirelessly through the propagation of oscillating electromagnetic fields. These fields are generated by modulating electrical signals with information, such as audio or data. The modulated signal is then emitted by a transmitter, where on the receiving end, a receiver captures these waves, and a extracts the original information from the signal.

Wireless can be distorted or blocked entirely, It is unclear what technology is used to acheive it, but colonial raptors are generally capable completely blocking wireless transmission from civilian sources, as Gemenon 1701-type liners.[2]
