Corporal Venner was a Marine NCO of Gemenese heritage. He survived the Fall of the Twelve Colonies onboard the Battlestar Galactica.

Biography

When President Laura Roslin was arrested for supporting dissent within the Colonial Fleet, Cpl. Venner guarded the brig and watched over her. Soon after her arrest, Galactica fought a Basestar and its Raider compliment and was boarded by a Heavy Raider. The initial battle alarmed Cpl. Venner despite his training, and he asked President Roslin to pray with him. Under orders from Cpt. Leland Adama, Cpl. Venner took President Roslin out of the brig to keep her safe from the boarding party. He soon began to see President Roslin as the prophecised Dying Leader talked about by the Scrolls of Pythia, and aided in the smuggling of Chamalla as her medication, and later food from the galley like liquorice. Due to his closeness to the President, he was easily led to join the rebellion led in her name. Unable to join her, he let himself be punched in the face to explain away her disappearance as a third party breaking her out.
