Battlestar Galactica 2004, Caprica and Blood & Chrome
The Stealthstar was a type of Colonial reconnaissance craft in service shortly before the Fall of the Twelve Colonies. Stemming from Viper lineage, it shared many of the same parts as the Colonial space superiority fighter.
History[]
Lieutenant Daniel "Bulldog" Novacek piloted a Stealthstar across the Armistice Line to find out if Cylons were building up their forces for a possible invasion of the Twelve Colonies. Although stealthy in design, Battlestar Valkyrie, from which Novacek deployed, maintained a clear DRADIS lock, implying some transponder maintained communication with Colonial Forces. An unknown vessel (presumed Cylon) jumped in and attacked the Stealthstar, forcing Commander Adama to order a missile strike, as it was imperative that the Stealthstar would not be discovered in Cylon space.[2]
Behind the Scenes[]
- Stealthstar shares the same cockpit as Viper Mk VIIa and Viper Mk VIIb.
- Stealthstar's DRADIS designation is "S-Star".
