Sectar was a planet in Quadrant Zeta. It was settled on by human and Boray colonists. The human colonists were the descendants of pioneers who were aware of the Orions and Colonials, but had little to no contact with them. Sectar was less developed than other planets in the star system, and consequently was more focused on agriculture. Relations between the settlers was tense, and a Boray clan under Nogow made frequent raids on the town of Serenity to take its grain and women. The Colonial Warrior, Starbuck, was able to negotiate a peace deal between the two sides, making Nogow the town's constable in return for payment in food.[1]
