Battlestar Galactica 2004, Caprica and Blood & Chrome
Captain Renner was an officer who escaped the Fall of the Twelve Colonies onboard the Battlestar Pegasus.
Biography[]
By the 1 ACH, Renner server in Colonial Fleet for more than 20 years and achieved a rank of Captain. Following the assassination of Captain Jack Fisk, Renner assumed the responsibilities of acting Executive Officer under acting Commanding Officer Trenell. Renner shared isolationist views with the other officers on Pegasus, who were opposed to any kind of interference in the ship's affairs by Admiral William Adama, who was flagged on Galactica. When Adama appointed Captain Leland Adama to conduct the investigation, Renner refused to co-operate and insulted the Admiral, and was assaulted by the Captain in response.[1] Both Renner and Trennel did not last long in their positions, and were soon replaced with Commander Barry Garner and the promoted Major Adama.
Behind the Scenes[]
- Renner only appears in a deleted scene from the episode, "Black Market". As Commander Garner lacked an Executive Officer at the start of his command, it can be assumed Renner was never officially appointed to the role.
