(Battlestar Galactica 2004, Caprica and Blood & Chrome)
The Number Fives were a model of Humanoid Cylon. Created some time after 1960, millions of cloned individuals of the Number Five model were created, each with the same personality, with memories being uploaded to a central processing facility to be shared among other Fives, and as such all took up the same name: "Aaron Doral". Like the other Humanoid models, all Fives were represented by a single individual in the Cylon political process. The Number Fives are believed extinct following the Cylon Civil War.
History[]
A number of Fives worked their way into human civilisation as agents in the lead-up to the Fall of the Twelve Colonies. One gained a PR role which allowed him to work onboard Galactica, a battlestar close to decommissioning which lacked networking. Possibly for this reason, he was able to install a transponder in CIC two weeks before the attacks, which allowed Cylon forces to track Galactica to Ragnar. This Five was discovered and abandoned on Ragnar, where he was picked up by fellow Cylons.
Another Five escaped the Fall in a civilian ship which took him to a refugee fleet led by Galactica. He quickly joined a terrorist cell led by a Number One. Learning the humans were aware of Humanoid Cylons and his infiltration skills were compromised, he had no choice but to put on a suicide vest with stolen explosives and kill himself in a bombing on Galactica.
During the Occupation of New Caprica, the Fives served in PR roles on behalf of the Baltar administration. One served as a recruiter for the New Caprica Police, handpicking civilians he saw as easy to manipulate. Another conversed with President Baltar about how an increase in toilet paper supplies would boost his poll ratings.
In the lead-up to the Cylon Civil War, the Fives supported the boxing of the Number Three models, which rendered Simple Majorities impossible. Months later, the Fives supported an act to lobotomise the Raiders, which had refused to fight mankind after discovering the Final Five within the fleet, which passed by Simple Majority due a rebelling Number Eight, something never considered legal. This Number Five was killed in a Centurion rebellion after the Twos, Sixes and Eights took over entire Basestars.
