2004 Continuity

Majahual was a mining vessel that joined Galactica-led ragtag fleet following the Fall of the Twelve Colonies. Following the Battle of Tylium refinery, where Colonial Fleet managed to take over tylium-rich asteroid from the Cylons, the Majahual began mining operations and its unknown if it had any knowledge of the conflict between President Roslin and then Commander Adama, where almost 1/3rd of the fleet separated from the Galactica and jumped to Kobol.[4] Stationed in Sector 2-5-9 the Majahual, while mining the tylium-rich asteroid field, was terrorized by lone Cylon raider nicknamed "Scar", forcing the Colonial Fleet to redeploy Battlestar Galactica to provide 24/7 Combat-Air-Patrol over the ship and surrounding area, resulting in the loss of many colonial pilots.

Later that year, the ship participated in the presidential election and subsequent settling of the New Caprica, but it's unknown if Majuhual itself landed on the planet. The ship ultimately survived the exodus, and was scuttled by Samuel T. Anders when flown into Sol.[2]

Behind the Scenes[]

  • Compared to its sister-ship Monarch, the Majahual has almost 10 times larger crew, possibly hinting at production error.
