Biography[]
Baltar's aide[]

Lucifer is introduced to Baltar.
Lucifer was an IL Series Cylon who commanded a Base ship. When the Imperious Leader was destroyed at Carillon, Lucifer had hoped he would be chosen as the new Imperious Leader, and could not understand why he had not been selected.[1] When the new Imperious Leader spared the traitor Baltar's life, he assigned him command of Lucifer's ship, and appointed Lucifer as his second in command, before placing Baltar in charge of the pursuit of the last remnants of humanity. Lucifer was enthusiastic about his new role, believing that there was much he could learn from the devious Baltar.[2]
Lucifer's forces soon located the trailing vessels of the Colonial Fleet, and turned back before discovery, at Baltar's order. Baltar instructed Lucifer to capture one of the Colonial Pilots, and Lucifer's forces subsequently took Lieutenant Starbuck hostage. Lucifer escorted Starbuck to Baltar's throne room, where Baltar revealed his plan to convince the humans that they came offering peace. Lucifer was extremely doubtful this plan would succeed, and quickly grew suspicious of Baltar's motives.
The Basestar followed the Galactica into a magnetic abyss, which contained the lost planet of Kobol. Baltar left the ship for Kobol, planning to meet with the humans himself and enact his plan, but Lucifer, mistrustful of Baltar's intentions, and seeing an opportunity to win a major military victory, ordered his forces to attack while Baltar was down on the planet. Cylon raiders subsequently destroyed the lost tombs on the planet, and caused them to collapse, trapping an unwitting Baltar inside under a fallen pillar. As Baltar swore to tear Lucifer apart for his treachery, Lucifer's attack force was defeated, forcing him to retreat.[3]
Despite his injuries, Baltar recovered and resumed command of the Cylon pursuit forces, though his relationship with Lucifer was more strained, with Lucifer frequently second guessing his schemes.
The Ravoshol Pulsar[]
Baltar later planned to herd the Colonial fleet towards a Cylon superweapon; the Ravashol Pulsar, hoping to destroy the Galactica and the fleet in one fell swoop. Determined to push the Galactica forward, Baltar hounded Adama with constant Cylon attacks, expending a large amount of fuel and pushing his own Centurions to the point where they did not have enough fuel to return to the Base ship.
Lucifer questioned Baltar's tactics, telling him it was "suicide" to abandon the out-of-fuel Raiders. When Baltar argued he would have given the same order, even if there were human pilots in the Raiders, Lucifer commented that he believed him.
Baltar's plan ultimately failed, and the Ravashol Pulsar was destroyed. Lucifer suggested to Baltar that they come up with a solid front to explain the loss of the Pulsar to the Imperious Leader.[4]
