Kyle was a Galactican from the planet Attila. He was one of the few survivors of a Cylon attack which forced those remaining to take up guerrilla tactics.[1]
Biography[]
Kyle grew up on a Attila, a remote Galactican colony in the Omega Sector which was isolated during the Thousand Yahren War and had regressed to a pre-industrial state of development. Around the time of the Battle of Cimtar, Attila was found by Cylon forces and a landing force led by Specter began massacring the population. Kyle survived with his father Megan and his siblings Miri, Ariadne, Robus and Nilz, and the family began a guerrilla campaign against the Centurions, using the afforested and marshy environment to their advantage. When the Centurions succeeded in capturing Megan, Kyle took over.[1]
Under Kyle's leadership, attacks continued, including successful attacks on ammunition dumps and fuel depots to weaken the Centurions' ability to go on. One day, the guerrillas attacked a patrol carrying Lieutenant Starbuck, a Colonial Warrior who had crash landed on the planet. Kyle made plans to hand over Starbuck to Specter in exchange for the release of Megan. Giving in to the advise of Miri, Kyle had Starbuck replaced with a dummy during a prisoner exchange over the swamp which the Cylons had also broken likewise. Having failed to recover Megan, Kyle finally handed over control of the guerrillas to Starbuck himself.[1]
Fighting under Starbuck, guerilla tactics shifted to a more ambitious assault on the Cylon fortress, which left the Centurions in a disorganised state. With Megan recovered, the family continued to fight the remnants of the occupational force, turning down the Colonials' offer of evacuation.[1]
