Integral Systems Engineering was a defence contractor which specialised in the maintenance and overhaul of Colonial Fleet assets. Around 2000, Integral Systems began working on Pegasus, one of the fleet's Mercury-class battlestars, and after several months of planning began the overhaul over Scorpia Fleet Shipyards. This overhaul coincided with the Fall of the Twelve Colonies, leaving the civilian contractors on board the ship. The leader of this group, Gina Inviere, was later unmasked as a Humanoid Cylon agent.
