Farms were facilities used by Humanoid Cylons for human biological research, and often led by Number Fours. The purpose of the Farms was to find a method by which a human-Cylon hybrid could be created, as it was a common element in Cylon culture to be as close to the One True God's creation as possible. Following the Fall of the Twelve Colonies, a number of Farms were set up across the Cyrannus system, and performed research on captives such as harvesting the ovaries of women.[1]
