Demand Peace was a radical activist network which formed on The Fleet in the months after the Fall of the Twelve Colonies.
History[]
Demand Peace was formed in the aftermath of the demise of newspaper journalism, which led to a new wave of amateur journalism consisting of flyers and wireless talk shows. This environment allowed conspiracy theories to gain traction. Demand Peace was not the only group formed by this, but is noted by its views on the war. Based on conspiracy theories that the Fall was the result of a Cylon response to Colonial aggression, Demand Peace placed blame on the military leadership for the war and believed in the possibility of peace with the Cylons should Galactica and Pegasus stand down. Following a series of sabotages, Demand Peace got the attention of the government and military.[1]
