(Battlestar Galactica 2004, Caprica and Blood & Chrome)
Delphi was a city on Caprica. It may have been close to Caprica City. Delphi was built close to a mountain range, and its outlying communities stretched into it.
History[]
During the Fall of the Twelve Colonies, Delphi suffered considerable damage to its skyscrapers, with many left as exposed hulks. That they survived at all suggests the city was attacked by Raider sorties and the Centurion landing forces rather than subjected to nuclear bombardment as Caprica City was.
In the first days following the attack, the Centurion forces cleared the streets of corpses and took them away to landfills to be mass-incinerated.[1] When this was completed, they began repairing the city's buildings to make them habitable for Humanoid Cylons, who had chosen Delphi as a settlement to inhabit.[2] In the nine months following the attack, a resistance force based in the mountains began expanding their operations lower and lower, until finally infiltrating the city itself, resulting in a series of bombings designed to pressure the Cylons into giving up the occupation. The bombing campaign ultimately lost traction when they became aware of a Cylon social revolution underway.[2] Several months later, the Cylons would finally vote to put an end to the occupation, coinciding with an assault on the rebels.[3] Delphi was finally left abandoned to time on an abandoned planet.
