Battlestar Galactica 2004, Caprica and Blood & Chrome
The Caprica City Buccaneers,[1] otherwise known simply as the Caprica Buccaneers or just C-Bucs, was a Pyramid team based on Caprica. The team, representing Caprica City, took part in an interplanetary Pyramid league which consisted of at least twenty-two teams by the 60s BCH.[2] Their home stadium was Atlas Arena.
History[]
In the 60s BCH, the Buccaneers were owned by Daniel Graystone, CEO of Graystone Industries. Their 58 BCH season was poor performing and coincided with Graystone's reluctant selling of the team to Tomas Vergis and subsequent re-acquisition. During their game with Delphi Legion, a Soldiers of The One bombing was foiled by a squad of U-87 Cylons.[3]
In the late 10s BCH, the Buccaneers were again going through a succession of poor games under captain Samuel T. Anders, in what was being described by the press as a "rebuilding year".[4] Around 0 BCH, the team traveled into the mountains outside Delphi for high-altitude training. This coincided with the Fall of the Twelve Colonies, allowing them to escape the nuclear bombardment of the planet and the Centurion landing forces. The team would form part of the Caprican resistance opposing the Cylon occupation of Caprica.[5]
