"Days without End"[]
Boxy is pretending to be a Colonial Warrior. Muffy stands in for a Cylon and is very good at playing dead. Colonel Tigh and two other officers suddenly enter. They were running a routine inspection of the engineering chambers and scolds Boxey for using the bad word 'pogees'. He also warns the boy that engineering can be a dangerous place. Soon Boxey is chasing Muffy through the corridors with his toy gun, leading to comments from two more officers. Boxey visits his aunt Athena in her quarters, but she is unable to play games as she is due to be on duty. The boy and his Daggit head for the launch bay to look at some Vipers. He spots Boomer and asks if he can one of the Vipers. Boomer laughs, but becomes more serious when he explains how dangerous it can be and that he doesn't want to lose Boxey. It is war time after all. Boxey slowly becomes to understand and says he's not scared. Boomer has to leave. Boxey and Muffit decide to follow him. Boomer is attending a memorial ceremony for recently fallen Viper pilots conducted by Captain Apollo. Boxey notices how sad his father and Starbuck look and becomes sad too. Suddenly Commander Adama is standing hear him. Boxey wonders where he can find a safe space, and Adama takes him by the hand.
Adama takes his grandson to the Command Core. Boxey knows he is usually not allowed there, but Adama insures him it's allowed when he's with the Commander. Athena greets Boxey and asks him if this is an offical inspection. Boxey answers "yes, ma'am!" Adama orders the main view ports to be opened. Boxey tells his grandfather that when he grows up, he will be a Viper pilot like his father and grandfather before him, only better. Further more, he says he will be the one to find Earth. Later, Boxey and Muffit arrive just in time for supper in Apollo's quarters. Apollo asks what Boxey has been up to today, to which Boxey replies 'the usual'.
