Synopsis[]
"Infamous"[]
Sgt. Jolly informs the Colonial pilots that they are making history, fighting fside by side with the Cylons. He soon finds himself with a new Cylon Raider, on his tail, but is saved by a classic Cylon Raider. On the Galactica's bridge, Tigh feels they need to find a new name for the other Cylon forces they are facing, and Lucifer suggests 'Meclon', the name of a caste of rogue Cylons from one of their cautionary myths. Tigh informs his troups of the new name. Baltar suggests to upload Cylon programming into the Viper navigation systems to help the pilot's ability to compensate and interact with their Cylon comrades. He adds that he may be able to discover something about the Meclon ships programming in the hangar. Tigh orders Baltar to be escorted to the hangar, and to be shot the first moment he gives any trouble.
Starbuck, Sheba and Boomer launch their Vipers to join the fight. Jolly is glad to see them join the action. Boomer finds it hard to mourn the loss of one their Cylon comrades when a friendly Raider is hist and destroyed. Meanwhile, Apollo is watching over his comatose father in Dr. Salik's medical bay. He tells Salik and Cassiopea that his father has been reaching out to him, and asks them to be quiet so he can concentrate on communicating with Commander Adama. He finds himself in an eerie, dream-like version of sickbay filled where every bed is filled with what appear to be dead bodies. Adama is not lying on one of the beds, but standing nearby with Count Iblis. Adama fires his laser pistol at the Count and demands that his father is released. The laser bolt passes right through Iblis, who laughs and then uses his own powers against Apollo. The energy bolt he fires from his hand strikes Apollo, but has no effect. Apollo concludes that Iblis has no power over him because he already killed him once before. Iblis disappears into thin air as Apollo walks towards them. He embraces his father and asks him where they are. The look at their surroundings, which appear to be Iblis' factory where Cylon and human bodies are combined into Meclon warriors. Adama asks Apollo to guide him back. Apollo returns to the med bay with his father, and both suddenly wake up in the Galactica's med bay. Salik tells Adama to take it easy, but the Commander replies there is no time. Father and son hurry to the bridge.
Adama thinks that Iblis is using the Galactica and every living soul in the fleet to enact his revange upon the Seraphs. He plans to lure them to the battle by making both the Colonials and the Cylons suffer. Outside, the battle rages on and Sheba finds herself being boxed in by Meclon Raiders. Starbuck hurries to her location, but Boomer is hit. As his Viper starts to lose power, he is suddenly blinded by the arrival of the Ship of Light, uttering it's distinctive sound. Tigh is relieved to see Adama entering the bridge with Apollo. The Commander asks for a situation report. When Tigh explains about their new enemies, the Meclons, Adama identifies them as Iblis' forces. Tigh also mentions the newly arrived ship, and Adama recognizes it as the Ship of Light. Adama explains to Tigh, Baltar and Lucifer that the Seraphs banished Iblis and his kind, and Iblis has somehow created the black hole and he Meclons to lure both fleets there and get his revenge on the Seraphs. When Lucifer asks what kind of being has such power, Adama replies "You were named after him".
