Synopsis[]
Danle Rel accuses Boomer of being a double-crossing slime, but Stadra Ah Mun tells him to calm down and lower his weapon. Boomer must have been tagged with a homing beacon by the Cylons before he was rescued by the Sagittarian scouts. Dale appologises to Boomer, saying the battle got him all rilled up. Stadra tells them they need to evacuate their people and prepare for their final battle. Down below, in the deteriorating basement of the old Trade Center, people are trying to treat the wounded Sagittarian people. Stadra says they need to evacute all women and children through the lower tunnels to their last safehouse. Freg tells the others that they have enough weapons to arm most of themen. However, Boomer states that the charges in the weapons are almost dead. He tells Stadra that they need to use stealth rather than blunt emotions, to which she agrees.
Some time later, Stadra finishes laying out her new plan to her forces. Telu will take the people to the Grand Station to await retrieval once they have secured a craft. In conclusion, she announces that Lieutenant Boomer is in command of all forces. Danle disagrees with having a stranger lead them, but Freg orders him to accept Stadra's decissions. Danle agrees, but is still visibly angry. Freg says goodbye to his young daughter, Jatu. She asks if mommy will be joining them, to which he replies that she's not coming back, but he himself will.
Boomer leads the Sagittarians out of their hideout and tells them to keep all communication limited to hand signals. Danle says he will preoccupy the Cylons so they can ll slip by their platoon. Starbuck is too late to stop his suicide mission, as Danle runs towards the Cylons firing his pistol and throwing grenades in the name of his mother, his wife and his daughter. A young warrior names Srep wants to aid Danle, but Freg stops him. As they travel across the wastelands of Maytoria, Stadra tells Starbuck they are passing the location where she grew up, including her father's restaurant where she wored as a chef. This surprises Starbuck, who assumed she was ex-military.
They have to cross a large bridge and Boomer orders them to run in pairs. Starbuck insists on pairing with Stadra and they leave together. Boomer hears the sound of Cylon tanks approaching and orders the others to take cover. Starbuck and Stadra also duck behind some rubble to let the Cylon convoy pass. Freg gets emotional when he sees Danle tied to the front of one of the Cylon vehicles. Boomer is unable to stop Freg, who singlehandedly takes on a group of Centurions, using mostly brute force as he only carries a small amount of firepower. Boomer tells the others to become involved and joins the fight by kicking a Centurion in the head. Starbuck boasts about his prowess to Stadra, only to get hit in the face by the butt of a Cylon gun. She comes to his aid and shoots the Centurion with her gun. Starbuck has a plan to take command of one of the tanks. He shoots each Cylon guarding and piloting it in the head, after which he and Stadra climb into the cockpit.
Srep is fighing several Centurions at once when Starbuck fires the large gun mounted atop his tank and destroys the Cylons. Next, he targets one of the other tanks. Freg apologises for starting the fight, but one of the others tells him it was inevitable. Starbuck's tank starts to move forward against his will and Stadra notices that the top hatch is locked. The tank rolls off the brigde and into the water. Boomer wants to go after it, but Freg tells him he wouldn't survive the jump. Freg tells Boomer he is needs to resume command. They are three metrics away from the pyramid and have to move on.
Some time later, Boomer and the Sagittarian forces arrive at the heavily guarded Central Command. Before they enter, Boomer tells the warriors that he has never fought bside a braver bunch in his life. The orders them to scatter in teams and converge on the biggest personnel carrier they can find. Meanwhile, Starbuck and Stadra are stuck inside the tank underneath the water. Water is pouring in from all sides and she tells him to try to get one of the communicators to work. Although uncertain of whom to call, Starbuck sends an SOS. He decides to open the hatch so they can swim to the surface. He tells Stadra this is her last chance to kiss him, and she does, but only as a gesture of good luck. When Starbuck opens the hatch, the force of the water rushing into the tank knocks both of them unconscious.
