Battlestar Galactica was a series of comics published by Marvel Comics between March 1979 and January 1981.
The series began as a one-shot adaptation of Saga of a Star World by writer Roger McKenzie. Though the third act was shorter than the telefilm due to relying on an early draft, the comic was nonetheless a success and a monthly series was commissioned by Marvel, with the one-shot re-released as the first three issues of the series. Due to contractual limitations, the only episodes that could be adapted were the two Lost Planet of the Gods episodes, with everything else from Issue #6 onwards being entirely original.
