Out in the wilds of New Caprica, beyond the Cylon boundaries, is a band of human freedom fighters. They answer to no one. They fear no Cylons. They are Twilight Command--and they have a plan. Plot[]

It is day 102 of the Cylon occupation of New Caprica. A Number One is driving a truck with Centurion passengers, who are part of a relief mission to wipe out the colony under the flag of helping. When he sees another Centurion stopped in the middle of the road, he concludes it has suffered a malfunction, and calls out his four passengers to investigate. The three surround the stalled Centurion, preparing to drag it into their truck to be repaired at the base. Its visor glows green and begins attacking the others. This is revealed to be a diversion by the New Caprican resistance, who have re-programmed the Centurion to serve their cause. A resistance cell begins its attack on the trucks.

Taken prisoner, the Number One comments that the human colonists are violent and would have ensured their own demise even if the Cylons hadn't found their planet. They demand he continue the food shipment continue on its way, which confuses One, as their attack is now meaningless. One of the fighters reveals they are not from New Caprica at all, and he is knocked out.

In the day, a Number Five and two Centurions approach Colonel Saul Tigh, the leader of the resistance. He tries to run, but cannot get away from the Centurions. In his final moments of freedom, he demands Chief Galen Tyrol to contact Commander Flores. Chief Tyrol has never heard of Flores. Working with Samuel T. Anders, they rule that Flores does not exist - the Cylons may be experts at making people disappear, but they can't cover-up the person's existence. The topic turns to there being a separate colony on New Caprica, consisting of fighters living in the wilderness and attacking Cylon convoys.

Anders and Tyrol head into the forest to investigate the claims, and run into a cloaked man and the green visored Centurion. When the group accepts that the two men are not collaborators, the cell makes their presence known and the two meet Commander Flores. A Centurion patrol opens fire, but they are shut down by an electric burst after walking over a booby trap. Flores is unwilling to work with Colonel Tigh's resistance on an official capacity, seeing the man as too heavily bound by military principle and thinking. Flores instead seeks less conventional forms of resistance, and plans to blow up a Centurion factory to cut off their ability to replace losses.
