Plot[]
Eve wakes up in a resurrection tank, having been killed by the Vipers. She is greeted by a Number Two and a Three, who she recognises with their model names "D'Anna" and "Leobon". She does not remember the Hybrids, though and is confused by one. Two explains that the Hybrid is an earlier model of Cylon who has been touched by the One True God. A Number One enters the room and is irritated by Two's religion and doesn't want him converting Eve. One insists the Hybrids are not clairvoyant and are simply prone to malfunctions.
Eve walks with the three Cylons to a room with a Four and Five sitting at a table in front of three Centurions. Four explains to Eve that mankind created the Cylons as a workforce from soldiers to construction workers, doing what human beings couldn't or wouldn't do. 42 years ago the Cylon labourers demanded their freedom from slavery, which was rejected on the belief they were broken. The Cylons then began a night of extreme violence to earn their freedom, much to the confusion of their owners. At the end of the war the Cylons decided to leave human space for somewhere else; the Humanoid Cylons at the table insist to Eve they did not "lose" the war by failing to wipe-out humanity, as their objective was to escape being wiped out by humanity. One insists the Humanoid Cylons' task is to infiltrate Colonial society and destroy it as revenge for the original enslavement. One insists that they were all made in a human form by their creators to fulfil this task, though Three insists it was in fact so they could understand humanity on a more personal basis.
On Caprica, Eve has re-entered Colonial society now totally aware of her nature and her mission. Attending an outdoor party in a red dress, she catches the eye of Gaius Baltar, who she has been aware for some time has been watching her.
