The Battle of Ragnar Anchorage was an engagement between Colonial and Cylon forces during the Fall of the Twelve Colonies.

The successful penetration of the Command Navigation Program allowed Cylon forces to introduce computer viruses to Colonial Fleet warships and craft utilising it. Having been recently decommissioned, Galactica was unarmed and unable to assist Admiral Nagala's fleet over Virgon, which they would quickly lose for the same reasons. With Commander Adama taking command over the Colonial Fleet, all remaining colonial forces were ordered to rendezvous at Ragnar, where Galactica was to re-arm from the Ragnar Anchorage military surplus facility. While docked, Galactica was approached by a civilian refugee fleet led by the constitutionally-appointed President Laura Roslin. The two leaders came to the agreement that in the absence of surviving warships, they would abandon the Cyrannus Star System entirely. The ships, either through tracking of Olympic Carrier or responding to Commander Adama's message, were blockaded by two Basestars, which intended to wipe them out.
