Basestar Type-B[2] was a type of warship utilized by the Cylons in the Cylon War. Deployed sometimes before the 10th year of the war, this type of basestar was the first to feature the now-iconic "Y" design seen in later iterations mixed with the flattened-cone shape of Type A.
History[]
Encountered by Orion-class assault ship Osiris over the ice moon Djerba, the basestar initially does not detect the stealth-coated Osiris. Once the battlestar was detected, the baseship launched its Raider compliment and opened fire with its missiles. After heavily damaging the Osiris, the basestar was ultimately destroyed by nuclear detonation, when the damaged assault ship rammed the baseship and detonated its nuke complement.[3]
