(Battlestar Galactica 1978 and Galactica 1980)
Attila was a delta-class planet in the Omega Sector. It was colonised by the Galacticans, a race of humans who made their principal home in the far away Twelve Colonies of Man.
History[]
When exactly Attila was settled by Galacticans is uncertain, but it appears to have been some time before the Thousand Yahren War, when numerous colonies were isolated partially from the others like Equellus, or totally like Proteus. When the war ended at the start of the Seventh Millennium, the Attilans had regressed into a more primitive society comparable to Earth's High Medieval Period, though remained aware of their more advanced brothers. The planet was discovered by the Cylon Empire, who sent Centurions to massacre the planet's population and seized its castle as a base of operations. These massacres were almost total in their success, sans a family of six led by Megan and later his son Kyle. These Galacticans resorted to guerrilla tactics, using the hilly and marshy terrain for their advantage against the Centurions. The guerrilla campaign was ultimately a success after the arrival of Lt. Starbuck, a Warrior from the Galactica, who led an assault on the castle and forced the Cylons to totally abandon the planet.[1]
