Atlantia was a battlestar which fought in the Thousand-Yahren War.
History[]
How old Atlantia was is uncertain, though it is known Galactica was over 500 years old at the end of the war.[1] In the final days of the conflict, the Cylon Empire sued for an end to hostilities and arranged a peace conference over Cimtar. Atlantia, Galactica, Pacifica, Triton and Columbia ventured out without support ships, with Atlantia carrying President Adar and the entire Council of the Twelve on board, sans Commander Adama who was in command of Galactica.[2]

The peace conference soon revealed itself to be a rouse, and the five Battlestars were swamped by a Cylon Raider force measured around a thousand. Due to the refusal by Adar to accept the attack as genuine until Atlantia itself was under attack, the battlestar was not in a state of alert and its Warriors were busy partying. Unable to shore up its defences in the time they had, Atlantia was severely damaged by strafing Raiders, and within minutes the bridge was a flaming derelict suffering a hull breach. Not long after, a Raider flew into one of Atlantia's flight pods and destroyed itself, the resulting internal explosion spread across Atlantia's interior, resulting in a massive explosion.[2]
