The Artemis-class[2] was a type of battlestar used in the First Cylon War.[3] Before the unification of the Twelve Colonies and the development of the Jupiter-class, the Artemis was the heaviest warship fielded by the Colonits of the Cyrannus System.
History[]
Artemis-class battlestar was a class of battlestars used by the yet un-unified Colonies. Decades before the First Cylon War, when this class was originally created, it revolutionized the warship design philosophy of the 12 Colonies, and its impact can be seen even more than half a century later in the post-war Mercury-class.[1]
